This Cookie Policy explains how smetanka.me uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy.

Cookies are small files stored on your device by a website or third-party service. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and scripts that remember settings or measure site usage.

Strictly necessary

These are required for the site to work, to remember your cookie preference, and to process payments securely through Stripe Checkout. They cannot be switched off through the cookie banner because the site or checkout would not work properly without them.

Analytics

If you consent, we use Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site: for example, which pages are visited, approximate location, device/browser type, traffic source, clicks, taps, scrolling, and basic interactions. Clarity provides heatmaps and reconstructed session recordings. Analytics is optional and these services are loaded only after you accept it.

Clarity collection is blocked on confirmation, unsubscribe, paid-download, order-confirmation, or checkout-success pages. Google Analytics is also blocked on those pages except that, after an already-consented purchase, the checkout-success page may send a sanitized page view and purchase event. Private query values, email addresses, download tokens, and payment details are not sent.

Marketing

We do not use marketing, advertising, remarketing, or profiling cookies.

Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager are provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google may process analytics data on servers outside the EEA. Where data is transferred internationally, Google relies on applicable transfer safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.

We use Google Analytics for site measurement only. We do not use it for advertising, remarketing, or individual profiling.

Google Analytics is connected to Microsoft Clarity so that consented analytics segments and Clarity playback references can be used together when investigating site experience.

Microsoft Clarity provides heatmaps and reconstructed session recordings that help us understand how visitors interact with the site. It may process clicks, taps, mouse movements, scrolling, page navigation, device/browser information, and approximate location.

Sensitive text and form input are masked. Clarity is loaded only after you accept analytics, and advertising storage remains disabled.

Essential storage

smetanka-cookie-consent — first-party local storage that records whether analytics was allowed, the policy version, and the decision time. It remains until you change the choice, the consent policy changes, or browser storage is cleared.

Google Analytics — only after consent

_ga — first-party cookie used to distinguish visitors, with a default lifetime of up to 2 years. _ga_<container-id> — first-party cookie used to persist session state, also with a default lifetime of up to 2 years. Browser limits may shorten these periods.

Microsoft Clarity — only after consent

_clck stores a pseudonymous Clarity visitor ID and preferences. _clsk connects page views into a session. Depending on browser and Microsoft settings, Clarity may also use CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID, and SM. Microsoft controls their exact duration and may update its cookie set; the current provider list is maintained in Microsoft Clarity's cookie documentation.

Google Analytics event data is retained for 14 months. Microsoft Clarity retention is described in our Privacy Policy.

No analytics cookie or analytics storage is intentionally created by this site before you allow analytics.

When you first visit the site, the cookie banner lets you:

– allow analytics,

– decline analytics,

– review settings.

Analytics is off by default and is enabled only if you consent. You can change or withdraw consent at any time.

Your choice is stored in your browser together with the consent-policy version and the time of your decision. A new policy version asks for consent again.

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site or checkout may not work correctly.
