Glory Holes

GLORY HOLES brings the moving images of sensual trippy loveforms into a physical encounter. To look inside, the viewer must approach a strange black object and bring their face close to one of its openings. The object invites curiosity while withholding any clear sense of what kind of body it might be.

Three separate chambers hold three distinct videos exploring flora, flesh, and a viscous realm where fixed boundaries begin to dissolve. Each opening reveals the entire video within its chamber. Several people can look simultaneously, sharing the object while entering their own encounter with its interior.

One chamber is simply black, holding the moving image in darkness. In the central chamber, hazy mirrored surfaces return softened reflections, allowing the image to spread into its surroundings. The third is lined with the same black film that covers the exterior. Its folds seem to flow inward through the opening, forming a passage where the outer skin becomes an inner space. Looking into it creates the sensation of being drawn inside the object.

Across these chambers, petals, tissue, folds, and membranes slip between the familiar and the unrecognisable. Attraction and unease coexist. The surface appears to conceal an interior life, as if matter itself could desire, respond, or draw the viewer closer.
